John was born in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Immediately after graduating, John started his career with the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. During the course of a 28 year career, John worked his way through the ranks to achieve the position of Chief of the Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas. As Chief, John was responsible for the execution and oversight of all major institutional procurement and property transactions within the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
John married his high school sweetheart, Leeann. They have two boys, Jordan and Jared. John is an avid outdoorsman who loves hunting, hiking, fishing and all outdoor activities. Three years ago, John and Leeann found their dream home in Weston, Colorado. The mountain views and abundant wildlife have captured John’s heart for life. John has always wanted to venture into real estate, so after retiring, he decided it was time. His post retirement goal is to help others find that same serenity as a Real Estate Broker at Code of the West.
